I am writing you today to speak about the unbelievable professionalism of one of your agents. I discovered him during an Internet search when I decided that it was time for me to purchase a new home.
Dave took the time to understand our needs and objectives, as well as point out the most prominent and convenient areas where our purchasing power could be maximized, based on our budget. He painstakingly took it upon himself to identify what he felt would be the most appropriate communities for us to focus our search in. He must have spent countless hours researching and identifying properties for us to look at that met these criteria. We had some false starts as well as good laughs at some beautiful and awful places. I think it was on our third or fourth time out when we looked at about 6 or 7 properties that we found the one.
I guess what they say is true, within the first 30 seconds upon walking in, a person knows if they will buy it. That proved true here. What amazed me about Dave was, he not only took the time to plan in advance to maximize the potential success of our search. He also connected me with many other professionals who assisted me with the home inspection, renovations, mortgage, utilities, home repairs, etc. Finally he helped negotiate a very reasonable deal with the seller that was advantageous to us as the buyer.
In my opinion, as this is the 5th home I have bought and my first in Virginia, Dave was the consummate professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with, even at times when I know I may have been unreasonable in my expectations.

Our first meeting was a big plus as he had a marketing plan with information on comparable places for sale in the area. He had a price range with a suggested initial price; made a number of good suggestions that made the condominium more sellable, with a list of firms that he recommended; and based on his knowledge of the market, had a rough estimate of how long it would take to sell the condominium.
Mr. Newell gave a weekly progress report, and after the condominium had been on the market for a month, recommended a price adjustment. This resulted in an offer, and consequently a sale. This was within the initial time frame that Dave had estimated.

Greetings. I wanted to let you know that my wife and I recently closed on a house with Dave Newell and we had a fantastic experience. Dave was our realtor four years ago when we bought a townhouse and we decided to go again with Dave. Despite the bad housing market, Dave gave us great advice on pricing our townhouse so that we immediately started receiving serious interest from other buyers. Late in 2007, as newlyweds, we were faced with the impossible task of selling two homes and buying one. After a slow market during the holidays, Dave accomplished the impossible for us early in 2008; we had contracts on each home within a 2 week period, found a fantastic house, and had (very nearly) simultaneous settlements on all three properties.

Last month we moved into the house of our dreams, and we have Dave Newell to thank for it.
Although we had decided to wait until the Spring to sell our condo and search for a single family home, we ended up finding our house in early November. With a stagnant housing market and the approaching holidays, we realized that our timing was poor. But buying a home is an emotional experience, and common sense takes a back seat when you want that house!! Having a good realtor would be crucial.
